Owner + Project Coordinator
Elizabeth runs the daily operations for the business. She handles our accounting needs, scheduling, project coordination, and client correspondence.
Prior to starting their own company, Phillip spent several years working on renovations and remodels of historic commercial buildings in Downtown Birmingham and Elizabeth worked in the accounting department of a local commercial real estate firm. Although both enjoyed what they did for a living, there was still something missing.
Dawson Building Company began with the idea of having a more personal connection with projects and clients. Through their work in residential construction, Elizabeth and Phillip are able to share their time and talents with others. As children, they learned the importance of leaving a place better than they found it. As adults and business owners, they pride themselves on doing just that. They understand that a project is not just updating a kitchen or family room, but rather improving the space where you will make your grandmother’s famous biscuits or gather to watch home videos with your family. When someone selects Dawson Building Company to work in their home, Elizabeth and Phillip feel privileged. To honor the trust placed in them, they treat every inch of space with the same level of care they would their own home.
When Elizabeth and Phillip are not hard at work,
you can find them playing with their black lab, Maci, spending time
with family and friends, and enjoying Birmingham's restaurant scene.
